Start: Short Pace Lap See Note Below on Flying Start
Alt Restrictions: At all tower Markers
Views Enabled: F1,F3, CMeye
VOX: 200
The Flying Start:
Racers will launch on the SW runway and hold. Once all racers have launched, the pace pilot will take off and use smoke to designate themselves as such. After the pace plane leaves, all other pilots may take off and follow the pace plane staying behind it at all times. The pace plane will follow the approximate route shown on the map below. The race begins when the pace plane passes the first turn marker (through the water/radar tower gate at the AA Factory) pulls into the vertical and shuts off smoke. A Text GOGOGO will also be given. Either of these will be considered a legitimate start.
NOTE: Racers may crowd the pace plane, throughout the pace lap. MODIFICATION: The pace plane will be the altitude restriction until the race start (all pilots must maintain an altitude less than the pace plane), AND all racers must be within 2k of the pace plane at the start (The pace plane pilot will look for ranges greater than 1.x and disqualify any). Racers may attempt to "time" the start by throttling up prior to SMOKE OFF.
If you are in front of the pace plane when smoke gets turned off and the text go is given, you will have to do a 360 penalty turn, as that will be considered a false start. It will soley at the Hosting CM's discretion as to this violation, however film may be submitted after race end if you fell you did not violate the start.
There may be a different Pace pilot for each heat. Pace Pilot will set their own speed for the lap, so it may vary between each heat.

Special note: All bridge fly through directions are only approximate. All fly throughs will be done in the general direction you are flying.
Notch originally mentioned a night race...He did not clarify in his latest write up, but be advised it is a possibility.
The Course Description:
1. Cold takeoff SW runway.
(Cold start: Spawn to runway, turn off engine, push throttles forward. At go command, start engines, with throttle already pushed forward)
2. Head to HQ keeping it to the right for a right hand turn, staying below the HQ building.
3. Fly to he ammo factory & make a right turn around the water tower
4. Adjust for a heading to the bridge at the Flak factory. Execute a fly through of any arch (See map) of the bridge from SW to NE.
5. Proceed along the river to the next bridge by the City. Fly E to W through bridge.
*NOTE* The river banks shall be considered the boundary for the race.
Consider them a wall which extends from the edge of the water up to 10,000
ft. Any drifting over them will result in disqualification.
6. Follow the river to the bridge at A29. Fly NW to SE under said bridge.
7. Continue to A52 where two bridges await your daring abilities to fly underneath them, first from N to S then E to W
8. Navigate a left turn to line up for yet another white knuckle E to W pass under the bridge at A57.
9. Another bridge fly through, N to S, at A64.
10. As you round the bend of the river, V74's river bridge will be the next fly through N to S.
11. Proceed to A70's bridge, making sure to pass under from NE to SW.
12. The last bridge pass through from N to S will be done at V65. (This bridge is the end of the river bank boundary restriction.)
13. After successfully navigating these bridges, you will need to gain a little altitude to fly to A63 where the next turn marker will be the tall radar tower. A right (approx. 160 degree) turn for a fly through of the bomber hangar nearest the water tower completes the race.

---------------------
I flew it with the Spit 9 and spit 14 in testing... Track ran around 12:30 with the Spit 9, and faster than that in the 14...
I like the track because we can use all kinds of planes. La's, Temps, Ponys, f4us, Jugs, etc... The only tough turn is the switch back to the Double BH finish. It's harry going that fast
I noticed the Nascar look too, and is why I named it the Speedway, I guess...
You should try it out, it's gonna be hella fun with 25 guys racing!!
